Introducing the Iced Edition of Our Bestselling Skinny Radiant
Why This Design Became a Favourite
Our Sterling Silver 5.00ct Skinny Radiant Cut Engagement Ring quickly became one of our most requested pieces, thanks to its elongated silhouette and clean, elegant lines. The slim radiant shape offers a modern take on a classic cut, giving it a distinctive look that stands apart from the more traditional square or rectangular radiants. Given how much attention this design received, we decided to offer the exact same setting and shape — but with an upgraded stone.
What Does “Iced” and “D-White” Actually Mean?
To be clear from the start: this is still a cubic zirconia stone, not a diamond. “D-white” is a grading term borrowed from diamond terminology, referring to a completely colourless stone with no visible tint — the highest tier on the traditional colour scale. “Iced” is a more casual, popular term used to describe a stone with maximum brilliance and sparkle, mimicking the icy, colourless look that’s become highly sought after in jewellery, especially in statement and hip-hop-inspired styles.
Iced CZ vs. Standard CZ: What’s the Difference?
Both are cubic zirconia, so the underlying material is identical. The difference comes down to grading and cut quality:
- Standard CZ often has a slight tint (commonly a faint yellow or grey undertone) and may have less precise faceting, which can result in a duller, less reflective finish.
- Iced CZ (D-white grade) is cut and selected specifically for colourlessness and maximum light performance, giving it a sharper, more diamond-like sparkle under various lighting conditions.
In short, iced CZ isn’t a different material — it’s a higher grade and cut standard applied to the same stone, resulting in a noticeably brighter, whiter appearance.
Which One Is Right for You?
If you love the design of our original Skinny Radiant but want that extra level of brilliance, the iced D-white version offers the same beloved silhouette with a more elevated sparkle. Both versions remain accessible cubic zirconia pieces — the choice simply comes down to how much shine you’re looking for.
