The Rose Gold Plated 2.00 ct. Halo Pear Engagement Ring is rose gold plated not solid rose gold. Note that the ring underneath is a copper / zinc alloy mix. This ring is Rose Gold Plated. Plated rings must not be used in water/sanitizers. The plating will wear off no matter what. Sweat in the hands, wear and sulfur in the air all contribute to the plating wearing off. Note that the rose gold plating tends to discolour very quickly, that is why the rose gold rings are cheaper.
