Please remember that harsh sanitizers will effect your jewellery whether it be 18K GP, S925 Silver, solid gold or solid silver. The chemicals in the sanitizer have found to slowly eat away the metal even if the jewellery is solid. Please try to not spray sanitizer on your jewellery. Take your rings off when sanitizing your hands for proper jewellery care.
At You Love It we stock a variety of precious metals ranging from 18K GP, S925 Plated and S925 Silver.
It is important to care for your jewellery in the correct manner. Make sure to remove your ring / necklace / bracelet when showering, bathing or working in water, such as washing hands and dishes.
Make sure to remove your ring / necklace / bracelet when working with chemicals such as hand sanitizer. Make sure to remove your ring / necklace / bracelet when exercising to avoid contact with sweat.
Remove your ring / necklace / bracelet when sleeping. Do not store your ring / necklace / bracelet in the bathroom to avoid contact with steam. Store your ring / necklace / bracelet in a dry, cool area, preferably in a jewellery box.
It is in your best interest to have your ring / necklace / bracelet Rhodium coated to preserve the longevity and beauty of your piece. To have your ring / necklace / bracelet Rhodium coated, please contact your nearest jeweler.
You Love It is not held responsible for rings / necklaces / bracelets that discolour due to not following our care instructions. Oxidation and plating on metals do naturally fade overtime – this is normal wear and tear, not a defect. How quickly this happens depends on how you look after your jewellery. Sweat, chlorine, perfumes, water, cleaning agents, hand sanitizer cause oxidation to fade faster.
You Love It has a 30 days manufacturing defect exchange only if a cubic falls out. We will replace the ring if a cubic falls out within 30 days of purchase.
We regret, No Cash Refunds.
Please remember that the acidity in your body can cause the ring / necklace / bracelet to discolour. You Love It does not take responsibility for rings discolouring due to acidity in the body.

What is 18K GP?

18K GP stands for 18 carat white gold plated. These rings are coated in 18K GP and are not solid white gold. The base metal of our 18K GP rings / necklaces / bracelets is an Zinc or Copper Alloy. It is important to have your 18K GP rings / necklaces / bracelets Rhodium coated to preserve its longevity and beauty. 18K GP is a very soft metal and could easily become scratched if not Rhodium coated. The layer of white gold is very thin, so it will also wear off with time and usage

What is S925 Plated?

S925 plated stands for silver plated. These rings are coated in silver and are not solid silver. The base metal for our S925 plated rings / necklaces / bracelets is an Zinc Alloy. It is important to have your S925 plated rings / necklaces / bracelets Rhodium coated to preserve its longevity and beauty. The S925 plated rings are coated in silver and could easily become scratched if not Rhodium coated. The layer of silver is very thin, so it will also wear off with time and usage

What is S925 Silver?

The scientific definition: “Sterling silver, also known as 925 sterling silver, is a metal alloy used in jewelry and decorative household objects. Traditionally, it is 92.5% silver (Ag), and 7.5% copper (Cu). Occasionally, other metals account for 7.5%, but the 925 hallmark will always indicate 92.5% silver purity.”

S925 Silver stands for solid silver. It is important to have your S925 silver rings / necklaces / bracelets Rhodium coated to preserve its longevity and beauty. We do not recommend using our S925 silver rings / necklaces / bracelets in water, when exercising or when working with harsh chemicals.

S925 Silver jewellery pieces are not plated.

The rings that are labeled as “18K GP – White Gold Plated” and “SIlver Plated” in their headings will eventually discolour and can’t be used in water. We recommend looking at the S925 sterling silver range for long lasting products.
